MyV3 Online Anti-Virus Scanner

MyV3 is an online anti-virus service that helps you scan and repair viruses whenever you are connected to the Internet, even if an anti-virus program is not installed in you computers. MyV3 provides rapid and precise scan and repair for virus infection by using the AhnLab anti-virus engine.

Operating System	Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional (Windows XP Professional 64bit Edition is not supported)
Web Browser	Windows Internet Explorer 5.01 SP2 or higher (Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta 2 is not supported)

1. Scanning/Repairing the infected files
	To scan the virus, first, select the drive you wish to scan. Click the check box () of the drive or folder to scan. In the left menu, if you click Scan/Repair, Scan/Repair-MyV3 window appears and you can see the virus scanning process.

2. Checking the infected file list
	After the virus scan, detected viruses will be shown in the list. Infected file list will show the file and folder name, scan date, status, and scan method.

3. Repairing detected viruses at once
	If you click Repair All Items, you can repair/delete viruses at once. MyV3 repairs infected files automatically and removes the malicious codes. However, if you disabled the automatic scan option in custom settings, you have to repair or remove the infected file manually. In this case, it is convenient to use Repair All option. After the virus repair is complete, the message will appear to notify you that the repairing is finished.

1. Storing in the quarantine
	Quarantine is the storing section where you can store the copies of infected files before you repair viruses or delete malicious codes. The files stored in the quarantine are infected by malicious codes but since they are isolated, they will not affect the system.

2. Viewing scan result
	Scan result shows information about the virus infection trends or number of infections. When a virus is detected, you can view the scan result on each virus detected by date.
3. Configuring settings
	In Settings, you can configure Scan Setting and Repair Setting. You can use Scan Setting to configure settings for scanning viruses and Repair Setting to configure settings for repairing infected files.

1.	Can I use MyV3 on off-line?
	No, MyV3 is an on-line anti-virus program. You cannot use it on off-line.

2.	How can I update MyV3 to the most recent engine?
	It will be automatically updated when you run MyV3.

3.	I am currently using MyV3 service but my computer has been infected by viruses. How can this be possible?
	MyV3 provides virus repairing service. However, to prevent viruses or malicious codes, we recommend you to install MyFirewall and MyV3 RTS. You should install and enable anti-hacking and real-time virus scanning program. Since new viruses are continuously created, it is impossible to prevent all viruses. To minimize the damage caused by virus infection, we strongly recommend you to periodically check your system through MyV3 engine update and regular virus scans.

4.	What is quarantine? Can I delete files in the quarantine?
	Quarantine is where the copies of infected files are stored before repairing viruses or deleting malicious codes. You can delete files in the quarantine when no data is damaged after repairing/deleting infected files or when your system runs properly. However, since infected files stored in the quarantine are isolated and do not affect your system, deleting the files in the quarantine is not a mandatory option.

5.	Virus scanning takes too long.
	It will take a long time to scan all files including the encrypted files. To shorten the scanning time, exclude the encrypted files for scan in the settings or exclude the folders that have low possibility of getting infected by viruses.

6.	How do I remove the program completely?
	If an error occurs due to problems with the network, during program installation, or you no longer want to use the program and want to remove MyV3 completely, then please use the removal program provided. Before removing the program, you must stop running MyV3 and also close the web browser through which you installed MyV3.
