The real-time scan (MySpyZero RTS) setting is
provided through Speed Up.
Go to Settings in Speed UP to configure MySpyZero
RTS.
If you enable MySpyZero RTS, it scans and blocks
spyware in real-time while your system is connected
to Internet. MySpyZero RTS prevents your private
information from disclosure and allows you to
use Internet in safe environment. |

1. Scan/Repair
After staring MySpyZero, scan your computer
for malicious code infection and if any of
your files are infected by malicious codes,
repair them.
Caution: To perform the scanning properly,
you must log in as an account with administrator’s
privilege.
Select scan item: Select items to run malicious
code scan/repair.
a. Quick Scan (Required):
If you select Quick scan (Required), files
and registry that have high risk of being
infected with malicious codes will be automatically
scanned. This mandatory option cannot be disabled.
b. Custom Scan
If you select Custom scan, you can select
hard disk or folders you want for scanning.
Click Custom scan, and click the plus sign
(+) to select hard disk drive and folder for
scanning.
c. Home page
If Microsoft Internet Explorer is infected
by a potentially harmful program and its homepage
address is changed to to other without your
consent. If you click Repair after scanning,
the message displays “Enter the address
to use for your home page. The home page will
be changed to this address after repairing”.
Enter the address that you want to use for
Microsoft Internet Explorer homepage.
2. Report the
new unwanted program
When an error occurred in you computer although
no potentially harmful program is found by
MySpyZero scan, please describe the symptoms
in detail and submit to AhnLab.
3. System Cleanup
Potentially harmful program may disclose your
private information temporarily saved in your
computer or exploit those information for
malicious purposes. Please periodically clean
up your system to protect your important private
information safely and optimize your system
storage space.
4. Quarantine
A potentially harmful program that has been
repaired will be deleted and stored in the
quarantine for certain period. You can restore
the potentially harmful program when an error
occurs in your computer after repairing or
important personal data is damaged.
5. Recent Activity
The Recent Activity shows the history of scan/repair,
real-time detection, system clean up, and
other tasks done in order of the date the
task were performed.

1. What is Spyware?
Spyware is classified as a kind of program
that violates a user’s privacy and is
potentially harmful.
Spyware can be divided into Trackware or Adware.
Trackware is a program that collects the condition
of a user’s Internet use, and Adware
is a program that pops up advertisement windows
in a user’s computer. Both programs
are not initially designed out of malevolence
and installed with the agreement of a user,
but many times users are not aware of that
they have agreed.
Spyware is not designed to release any of
the user’s personal information but
it collects the user’s habit history.
During this process, a user’s personal
information may be disclosed. From a user’s
perspective, any unwanted program that has
been installed without the user’s explicit
knowledge is classified as Spyware.
2. How is Spyware different
from Viruses?
Usually viruses are referred to all harmful
programs. Viruses inflict damage to the files
and operating system of a computer system.
Spyware do not cause any harmful damage to
a computer system, it only discloses personal
and private information of a computer user.
3. What are the problems
caused by Spyware?
Spyware can cause following problems:
- Possibility of disclosing one’s personal
information.
- Slowing down the performance of the computer
system
- Possibility of a bug causing various system
problems and errors
- The feeling of insecurity.
4. How do I protect
myself from Spyware?
You can protect yourself from Spyware by following
the steps below:
- Use Window update sites to install main
update and service packs; (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)
- Do not read spam mails and delete them all
- Visit reliable websites
- Install ActiveX Controls only from reliable
homepages
- Install an Anti-Spyware program such as
MySpyZero
5. What are the basic
requirements to run MySpyZero?
The system requirements to run MySpyZero are
as follows:
- CPU: Pentium 266 MHz or higher.
- OS: Windows 98, Windows 98SE, ME, Windows
2000 Pro, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional
- RAM: 32MB or higher
- HDD: 50MB or higher
6. How do I remove
the program completely?
If an error occurs due to problems with the
network, during program installation, or you
no longer want to use the program and want
to remove MySpyZero completely, then please
use the removal program provided. Before removing
the program, you must stop running MySpyZero
and also close the web browser through which
you installed MySpyZero.
